Yundera – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 2025
Yundera ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
By using Yundera services — including our website, dashboard, and Private Cloud Server (PCS) infrastructure — you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. What This Covers
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to our website and app interfaces (admin dashboard, billing panel, domain portal)
- Users who purchase or subscribe to a PCS
- Communications and support interactions with Yundera
This policy does not apply to:
Data you store on your own PCS (files, apps, databases, etc.)
→ You own and control that data. We cannot and do not access it, except if legally required.
2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data required to deliver and support your Yundera service.
Data Type | Purpose |
---|---|
Name & Email | To create your account and communicate with you |
Billing Info | To process payments (handled securely by Stripe or equivalent) |
Server Usage Logs | For system diagnostics, abuse prevention, and support |
IP Address | For server provisioning, location matching, and fraud prevention |
Support Tickets & Emails | To resolve your issues and provide customer support |
We do not collect biometric data, behavioral tracking, or install cookies beyond functional analytics and login management.
3. Data We Never Collect
We do not access or collect:
- Files, databases, or application data stored inside your PCS
- Messages, media, or content processed by the apps you install (e.g., WordPress, Jellyfin, qBittorrent)
- Passwords to your apps, unless you explicitly share them with us during support (and even then, we recommend temporary access only)
Your server is yours alone. We don't scan, mine, or monetize your data.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Provide access to your server and domain
- Process billing and payments
- Send service updates, invoices, and critical notices
- Improve our infrastructure and prevent abuse
We never sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
If you're in the EU or other jurisdictions requiring a lawful basis (per GDPR), we process your data on the basis of:
- Contractual necessity: to deliver Yundera services
- Legal obligation: for compliance with tax or law enforcement requirements
- Legitimate interest: for service improvement and security
- Consent: when you opt into marketing or research communications (you can withdraw this at any time)
6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We may share data only when necessary, and only with trusted partners:
Party | Purpose |
---|---|
Infrastructure providers (e.g., Scaleway, Hetzner) | To provision and host your PCS |
Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) | To process subscriptions securely |
Support platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom) | To help manage and respond to your requests |
Legal authorities | Only upon valid legal request or court order |
We only work with GDPR- and CCPA-compliant vendors, and sign data processing agreements (DPAs) with each.
7. International Data Transfers
We operate globally. If you reside outside the hosting country of your server, your data may be transferred across borders. We ensure:
- Hosting providers offer strong data protection safeguards (e.g., European GDPR standards)
- Any transfers comply with standard contractual clauses or equivalent frameworks
8. Data Retention
We retain your account and billing data as long as your subscription is active, and as required by law (e.g., for financial audits or tax reporting).
Upon account deletion:
- Personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days
- PCS data is deleted permanently if your server is terminated
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (right to be forgotten)
- Export your data (data portability)
- Withdraw consent to optional communications
- Object to certain types of processing
To exercise these rights, email us at: [email protected]
10. Security
We take data security seriously. Our practices include:
- HTTPS encryption everywhere
- 2FA for admin systems
- Encrypted server provisioning
- Secure DNS and domain routing
- No shared PCS containers — every server is isolated
However, you are responsible for securing your PCS (passwords, SSH keys, app logins, backups).
11. Children's Privacy
Yundera is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect or store personal data from children. If you believe this has occurred, please contact us for immediate deletion.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal changes or service updates. Major changes will be communicated via email or your dashboard.
