Yundera operates across multiple entities depending on your location. We partner with trusted providers and continuously benchmark the market to ensure the best combination of affordability, security, and environmental sustainability. We do not host the server ourselves but carefully select the server provider.

It's absolutely secure. 

Yundera provides the same level of security as Amazon AWS, Scaleway or any other providers —simply because we use their infrastructure. However, we go further by carefully selecting providers based on security, environmental impact, efficiency, and pricing.

Here's the key difference:

AWS and Scaleway servers are powerful, but setting them up is very complex and requires technical expertise. You need to configure networking, SSH keys, security policies, and more.

That's why it is not the same as purchasing a traditional server, Yundera removes that complexity. We act as the bridge, making server setup effortless, so you get all the benefits of a secure cloud without needing deep technical knowledge.

No, and here’s why:

You own it, it's not just a storage – Unlike traditional cloud services where you rent a portion of their infrastructure, with Yundera, you own the full virtual server. The provider supplies the hardware, but they have no access to what’s inside. For example with Google Cloud, Google controls both the hardware and the data, so they can access it. With Yundera, you own your virtual server. Server providers provides the infrastructure, but they cannot access the data inside your Yundera Personal Cloud Servers

Strict data isolation – Your server operates independently. Even though it's hosted on external infrastructure, the provider cannot see, modify, or extract your data.

Encryptionand security – Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, meaning no one—not even the infrastructure provider—can read your files.

The default OS we will set up and install on your server is CasaOS, an open-source operating system that makes managing servers simple and user-friendly.

CasaOS is based on Docker, which means you can install any Docker container easily. If you have a Docker image, you can set it up in minutes.

If you're looking for specific applications, there are nearly 400,000 containers available on Docker Hub for anything you might need—streaming, AI tools, game servers, and much more.

And if you need help finding or setting up a container, we're here to assist.
